Rainbow Reader 99 cent Quickie Series begins in just 24 hours!

Okay so two slices of sweet sensational news: Tomorrow at this time, I hope to have an ASIN for the first of the rainbow readers, "99 cent Quickie Red: Awakenings."

And while the final two chapters are being heavily modified with super charged sensually seductive and wondering if there is a happy ending at the end of the rainbow wowness, "Moments in Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way" will be completed on the 14th, and set for pre-order on the 24th, just as I originally intended, only a month late.

Looking for a whole lot of loving. Go ahead amazon, delete book one. I'll show you, I'll publish better and faster, sexier and for whatever reason book one was deleted, only the three people who reported the book should learn and embrace what "love" really is. Cowards! There, I had my say. Tra-la...

On page 22 of the second in the rainbow reader 99 cent Quickie Orange: "Flourish and Flings" series, when I should be finishing Detours! Hehehe My how wandering minds think for themselves. Wanna peek at the cover... I know you do!

Moments In Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way

The third release continuing the story of "Moments In Time: it is never too late to come out," and "Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over." "Moments In Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way" is a metaphoric resemblance between the ability to bump a guy off his straight and narrow path, and over to the side of rainbows and sparkle ponies combined with the challenge of wandering off the path of life, and making choices to stimulate a more fabulous future.

The world traveler is born, and torrid trysts continue in this third volume of “Moments In Time” that developed into a way of life. This story culminates in climax over and over again, with each chapter representing a unique sexual adventure.

As readers comment on each book, each chapter, and each character, we will create a series of books, based on reader’s comments. They say a picture tells a thousand words. I can guarantee an exciting and addictive series, based on what characters you like.

General warning, this book contains graphically descriptive sexual interactions between two (or more) males. It is intended for mature readers only.

Passionate and Thought Provoking... FIVE Star Review!

5.0 out of 5 stars Passionate and Thought Provoking... November 11, 2014
By Ranger
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Let me state at the outset that I am a straight man (really!) and I loved this book, “Moments in Time” by writer Adam Stevens. It has been the very first gay theme book I've ever read, and I read every page. While I did feel uncomfortable at some of the sex scenes, as I read more of the book, I became more comfortable with them, as I came to see them as a physical manifestation of love, and if anything, the writer's big message is that love is the same, whether it's between man and woman, or between man and man.

A bit about me. When I was younger, I did not really come across too many gay people, growing up in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Those were not exactly politically correct times, and had you asked me then about my opinion of gays in those times, you would probably dismiss me as a bigot and as a homophobe. Now, living in a big city and working in an environment where I interact with gays on a regular basis, I have developed a new understanding and no longer hold the hateful thoughts in my mind as I once did.

I was discussing this with a gay colleague, and telling him how things have changed, how gay friendly the world has become, with same-sex marriage being allowed and all that and he told me, yeah, that's all great, but you don't really how it's like to be gay and even if all the laws are made more equitable and gay friendly, none of us straight guys will understand the pain of being gay.

Which is why I looked for a book which tried to explain that – what it's like to be gay. And this book does that perfectly. Writer Adam Stevens explains the pain of being gay, the constant dread of being caught, humiliation, insults......but that's not all there is to it. He also talks about the joy, the love, the passion, the respect, the pride associated with being gay. Primarily, the book focuses what it's like to come out, giving up the world of stealth, guilt and lies, and waking up to a new life, in which nothing is hidden, everything is for real and there is no confusion. What you see, is what you get.

Amazing book, highly recommended!

I feel real good about book three, real good.

I can't believe it is still Friday. Well for five more minutes anyway. I have been writing non-stop since I got home from work. And people were so annoying me today. I would be formulating the perfect phrase, the perfect paragraph, the perfect thought in my mind, and someone would interrupt me. My how work gets in the way. So annoying. I am almost at 51,000 words and 160 pages of extreme awesomeness in Moments in Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way... And it's so hot and steamy, with such a storyline that has improved greatly since book one. Half way there.
As a writer, my art has improved into a skill. The story will be finished by the 15th, and I am hoping to get an external edit, so that it can be published the day before Thanksgiving. I decided that I will make book two, Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over free for five days the same day I publish book three.
Book four, narrated from Warrens perspective will be released the day before Christmas eve, and I will put book three free for five days then too...
I am already thinking into January, and will produce my '99 cent quickie' series of six 100 page books, one published each month until June. the rainbow reader series will be embellished stories from the Moments in Time series that the readers comment on and want to know more about. I am happy to embellish and expand on my characters interactions with Georgie in more detail.
My current teaching contract will be complete in July, and I can enjoy a wonderful two month paid holiday. That's the plan anyway. For fun, here is the 'RED' Book cover.

Panic and anxiety set in, I had to look!

Okay... Okay. I had to look. I caved in and looked at my KDP select report on how many free downloads I had for Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out.

Last week the first release of this book did 1,300 free downloads the first day. After four days fighting with amazon about why they blocked the book, and how to fix it, I get a new ASIN, and they thankfully re-post my one five star review.

The book now has a new ASIN, and perhaps people are confused, I've only 250 free downloads after two days and scared the original 1,300 wont be able to make the review on amazon, as that original ASIN no longer exists. Let's hope that they visit my good reads author page, and make that compelling positive review!

Although a link on the first page guides readers to my blog page, and the final page links back to the original ASIN, and to book two, I fear reviews will be 'lost in translation' from old book to new book. I guess I can free promo it again in 90 days. Ugh! Get it free now until 11/4!

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OZYIXLK

The final thought of the day... Err... Night.

I love when my mind gets into the zone of 'ultimate creativity.' For example, many writers can relate to the fact that when we are inspired by some wild, colorful idea, we can write about it for hours. That is until something gets in the way. Refreshing the coffee cup, running to the bathroom, even a phone call you are so annoyed with because you are in the zone.
But as I am a new author, and in my first book, promoted my blog on the first page, hoping for lots of interactive comments, I am discovering that I am NOT getting any new blog followers, and only a few are making comments. What the readers are doing, is messaging me on Facebook. I get excited when I hear that deafening 'ping' alerting me I have a new message.
The reader tells me they like such and such character, and I take note of that interaction, as this is the point of the "Moments in Time" trilogy. It is my intention, in all three books to maintain a fictional chronological articulation of key moments in time that Georgie experiences, and while each chapter is a different sexual scenario, the intention is to get the readers involved. Make the readers a part of future books. By that, I do not mean, make them a character, but rather to elaborate on each character that Georgie interacts with, and write an entirely new book of his time with that character, based on the readers likes.
For example tonight, one reader told me about the 'guy in the jacuzzi.' And I instantly knew who she meant. She loved the fact that I never revealed the name of this guy, although we spent several close days in the car together. I intentionally wrote about this stranger, and after a steamy hot sex scene, maintaining the theme of love hard, and lose that character, Georgies grandmother washed the jeans where the strangers info had been written on a piece of paper.
In book 3, the final chapter, the strangers name (has to be THE perfect name) will be revealed by having him recognize Georgie in a public place (it has to be the perfect place), and his approach has to be perfect, and the reuniting a lost love will create a dramatic impact on Warren and Georgies lives (Hehe. Spoiler! You don't know who Warren is until Book two)
The point of tonight's blog is to encourage readers to post comments on Amazon, Good Reads and on Facebook and share with me what character they want to get to know better. It is the entire purpose of the series.
While reviews sell books, and I am so happy with my first FIVE star review. I read that review every night before I go to bed. I want readers to interact with me, and inspire me by discussing key points in each characters experience, tell me their feelings, so that I can create more entertainment opportunities for them to explore.

I will make an unofficial announcement that shortly after Thanksgiving, and the release of the third book in the series, "Moments in Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way, I will begin to promote a monthly series called "The 99 cent Quickie." Which will feature approximately 100 pages of Georgie, and potentially Warren's interactions with the characters that the readers connect with. The first book will be released on January 1st, and will last for six months. In-depth detail will be released soon. Right now, Writing must be interrupted by sleep.

Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out is BACK ONLINE

After a four day delay politely discussing WHY my book was blocked on amazon, for what content violation exactly, I was eventually passed up the ranks from standard form e-mails to real people who deal with this phenomenon on a daily basis.

I had done the work right, step by step, without spamming my groups, as some authors are doing. A publisher I was becoming. When BAM! Amazon blocked the book from the bookshelves. All the hard work, my ONE raving five star review, all discarded in a virtual bin.

Amazon only blocked the book because it was reported by three people as 'contains pornographic content.' Automatic delete. Now, I have read some pretty HOT and steamy novels by Kindle Alexander, and several other writers with sex scenes way, way hotter and more descriptive than I could ever even hope to articulate, butt alas, after 1,300 downloads in 8 hours of being free, I'd say that was pretty dang good marketing, and I had created an interest in the book.

BUT, Amazon agreed to bring my one and only five star review to the new ASIN, which makes me do my *HAPPY DANCE* and jump for joy.

The book is now back online, and available free starting Friday 10/31 for five days.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OZYIXLK

This is a re-write of the original book, Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out. It is chock filled with rainbows, butterflies, unicorns and daisies. Should you endure the entire book, and are as in love with the story as most of the five star reviewers were in the first week of its release, then that means I salvaged the most important part of the storyline.

But… Even in Fifty Shades of Gray, there were no disclaimers or warnings of sexual content. And certainly if I knew the author was going to write about and articulate vicious sexual scenes and rape, I would not have bought the book. But I read it, and closed my eyes through the scary parts. But if that’s what sells books, and that’s how you make a TV series or a movie, then who would ever buy my book, especially being a new author. At least I warn the reader before buying.

We all know sex sells, but why read a book with this disclaimer if you’re not interested in the content, to the point of reporting it as pornography. I should write a book about this experience. I bet it sells, and will offend some people too. Back to our book about butterflies, rainbows and daisies:

Life happens. It is how we deal with our daily life challenges that define us as the people we are, and the people we will become. Moments in Time represents an evolution of explosive sexual discovery, from the earliest childhood memories though adulthood.

Each chapter is a detailed chronological examination of brief moments in time that have shaped and developed the character, culminating into a circular and repeating series of events revolving around sexual discovery, the search for love, and the loss associated with love, and allowing yourself to deviate from the path set before us.

This is not your ordinary fictional gay romance novel. It is the first in a series intended to allow you to reflect on the characters development, and potentially relate to the characters in each chapter by briefly experiencing these moments in time personally. You will find graphically intense sexual scenes in each chapter. Please note the warning that this book does graphically explore gay male sexual encounters. It is intended for a mature adult audience, and not intended for minors.

You can determine for yourself, as you read each chapter, which character you relate to the most, and how they affect you, on more than an entertainment opportunity level. I can promise you entertainment, based on relevance. It is the authors intention to extend an invitation to each reader to share their opinion on http://adamstevensshouts.blogspot.com/ regarding which characters they would like to see featured in future stories at the conclusion of the Moments in Time series.

I hope you enjoy Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out. Again.

Book 1 Blocked by Amazon for content violations

Slight hiccup. So I have a three book series called Moments in Time, and finally published book 1 and 2 last week.

Sunday night it started a FIVE day KDP Select FREE promotion.

On Monday morning when I left for school, after 8 hours of being free, I had 1,300 free downloads. Effective marketing.

So I expected twice that after a days work. When I got home from school, my book had been blocked by Amazon for violating their content guidelines. I inquired by replying to them WHAT content did I violate? after about a dozen back and forth emails, they responded that three people reported my book to Amazon as pornographic material.

Well, ONE of these people's names I recognized immediately as a fellow author, member of several groups I belong to, and interact with. How can that be? Competition is fierce Amazon informed me, and it took three reports in a day to get blocked. It took me a half dozen emails from them to skim my book and tell me which chapters need to be 'modified.'

I have read steamier, Hotter, more graphically intense sexual experiences (Fifty Shades of Gray even) recently in other peoples works, that I had hoped my sex scenes would minimally rival theirs. Unfortunately, it seems perhaps at least one fellow author feared my sales would take away from theirs? I do not know.

Time to re-write a few paragraphs in a few chapters, and hopefully by the weekend, I will re-release the modified book, under the same name, new ASIN number, and see how many people will report that! If I wanted to write about butterflies, unicorns and daisies, I wouldn't be writing in this genre.

I am so excited that Amazon is in constant communication about this issue, and knowing a competitor is jealous of my work demonstrates that my writing is five star, well on a 'pornographic' content, I guess its a six star.

So watch out butterflies and daisies will be edited into my first book, and re-released this weekend.

KDP free book offer experiment. Free is good, right?

So its been a week, and I think I will experiment with the KDP free book offer for the last five days of the month. It will start on Sunday. I wonder what to expect.

I am considering a cover change. Please share your feelings.

Okay, I am carefully considering a cover change for the Moments in Time trilogy. I wonder if you will share your comments about the current published cover, already on virtual bookshelves everywhere in the UK, Canada, United States, Germany and Japan in just one week! But I am not entirely convinced that I like the published cover, so I had some new ones made. What do you think?

Blown Away! FIRST review for Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars October 20, 2014
This is the second book I read in a week from a new author, and I have to say, Adam, this book Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over touched me in so many ways. Having the main character overcoming depression and suicide, starting a new life, with lots of friends helping along the way, and then meeting Warren. Wow. I can relate to the experience on so many levels, but the passion expressed in your words were only surpassed by the emotional connection that was made between these two characters. The descriptive flings, the chase for what everyone’s looking for, love, and the way I felt reading the sex scenes, if I closed my eyes, I could almost imagine I was there. But I needed to keep reading. Did I mention, most of all, the sex scenes were scorching hot. I’ve got this author on autobuy, and can’t wait for the final book in the series to be published. I have joined your blog so that I can follow (and maybe get a sneak peak) at what happens next.

Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over is the second in a series that represents an evolution of explosive sexual discovery, from the earliest childhood memories though adulthood.

Each chapter is a continuing chronological examination of brief moments in time that have shaped and developed the character, culminating into a circular and repeating series of events revolving around sexual discovery, the search for love, and the loss associated with love, and allowing yourself to deviate from the path set before us.

We begin with George ready to commit suicide. He was in so much pain, and causing pain for so many, the easiest way to end that pain was to end his life. After just awaking from a dream that outlined his purpose, and provided a path to follow, he meets Warren, and everything seems to fall into place with someone to walk that path with.

Amazing FIRST review for Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars October 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
First, I could not put this book down. Each chapter was uniquely different and expressive. It was filled with emotion that sort of sucked me into the pages, as if I were part of the action. After reading this book, Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out, I attempted to get on with my day like any other normal day. But I was too consumed with the emotional honesty the main character experienced.
I was skeptical at first, paying full price for a new authors work. But the book cover was a serious eye catcher, the book description pushed me a little more, and the sample pages made me buy it. I started reading where the sample left off. I passed up dinner with friends, stayed up way too late, even contemplated calling in sick for work (I don’t recommend that-I’ve done it before), The book was amazing. I have already purchased his second book in the series, and have high expectations to read what comes next. The book is like that. It is written in a way that you just can’t wait for the next paragraph, the next pages, the next chapter…
I can only say this, inspiring message, and steamy hot sex scenes.

Holy Crackers! New Cover Art Options...

I am totally blown away, but looking for some feedback regarding the published cover, and the three new options...

Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over

I am so happy that the second book in the Moments in Time trilogy has been completed and released to the public in kindle format on amazon. You know it is getting really hot in here. Looking for positive, compelling reviews to motivate me to complete the third. I think the world is going to love these stories, but I hope for at least liking them. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OO6SZJO

Amazon.com Author central is active

http://www.amazon.com/Adam-Stevens/e/B00ONMEUDY

I am now a published Author. Let's see how fast I can get positive reviews!

I did it yesterday. I finally ticked the 'save and publish' box. It's up, It's live, and I hope the world falls in love with the character. Heck, I'll be happy if they at least like him. As this is my first release to the world, I welcome constructive criticism (disregard the subtitle error on the cover art, the correct subtitle has been uploaded and will be fixed by tomorrow).

It is getting 'real' now.

The 12-24 hour Amazon.com countdown has begun. I FINALLY ticked that save and publish box. It is getting 'real' now.

Detours: Sometimes the wrong way is the right way

This is the third installment of the Moments in Time series, and the cover art by Rylie is underway. Still some major writing to be done. Its about a month away from being complete. Another month for the edit and re-write. It has intentionally left holes, gaps and canyons due to the lack of a proper cup of coffee in China. Yes, I blame it all on the coffee (that and not having a laptop for three months).

Stay tuned.

Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over

Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over is the continuing saga from the first in the series, Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out. The edit and re-edits are complete and is finally finished, ready to publish.

The re-branding is underway with the cover art by Rylie. The book description and synopsis are also part of the re-branding process, and will all be complete this week. I can't wait to get this story published on amazon.com

Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out

Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out is finally finished. It is the beginning, the start of a three book trilogy that has been in the works since 1997. I finally love the timeline and flow, and all of its characters after edit and re-write, edit and re-write. It has been a painfully rewarding experience.

The two major things I learned in expressing my artistic talent is to STOP hating and deleting the work I create. After three weeks of brainstorming, I created a fabulous solution to a chapter which needed a significant and stimulating change. I re-read the book twice trying to find the original idea. I couldn't find the work, and realized that I deleted an entire chapter because it wasn't just right. I learned to cut the work I don't like, and save it in another file to perhaps edit and use later. I also learned, that no matter how many times you edit, and no matter how much you love it, you MUST begin somewhere. So I finally love my work, and am sharing it with the world. I hope the world at least likes it.

The cover art by Rylie is underway, and am finally ready to publish on Amazon.com.

Moments in Time series exposed

I decided to write. The voices in my head keep telling me, heck even my grandmother told me I should write a book. And so I began some many years ago. In this blog, I will attempt to share why I write, and once published, will use this forum to solicit feedback from readers, in order to determine which character they relate to, or want to read more about.

I have creatively masterminded a full circle trilogy that begins with my main characters sexually eye-opening sexual discovery that shapes his life, develops his character, and articulates his random and chance sexual encounters in a chronological format that demonstrates and celebrates the innocence of life we tend to forget as we grow older.

The tales of fiction and fantasy culminate in the first book, Moments in Time: It's never too late to come out with an attempt at suicide after realizing the sexual tendencies that had developed resulted in extreme love and sometimes tragic loss, a deep depression, rejection, and despair that became too overwhelming to handle.

The sexual adventures continue however, as the main character wakes from an amazing dream in Moments in Time: It's never too late to start over. He is given a new lease on life, with a renewed spirit, and a purpose to pursue. Instantly life comes together, and resumes. Sexual encounters continue to follow him wherever he goes. In a short time, the man of his dreams enters his life, and life changes everything, or does it.

The Moments in Time series continues under a different flag called, Detours: Sometimes the wrong way is the right way. This final chapter documents another drastic change of life, but the sexual tendencies follow both main characters now, as their journeys take a slight detour. The dramatic change of the book title, although part three in the series, is to articulate the history of both characters, and their unique ability to stray from their own path, as well as have a unique talent to assist others in taking a slight sexual detour in their own lives.

In those three books, I will invite the readers to comment, and request more character development for each of the many characters highlighted chapter by chapter in this chronological growth and development of one mans life. I will encourage discussions of these fabrications of fiction and fantasy, in order to create a continuing development of storyline, based on the most popular suggestions by readers who want to know more about a specific encounter. Embellishment of the most popular chapters will result in subsequent publications written to entertain the readers.

Already brainstormed and in the works for my own amusement and entertainment is a reverse perspective story. For example the main character meets someone, and the story is written from the main characters perspective. Book four, tentatively titled, Innocence, will depict the same story the main character tells, from a sub-characters perspective, and how their lives inter-mingled and inter-twined without them even knowing, until their own encounter happened.

When you read about a character and their descriptions that create a story, often As a reader, we want to know more about their interactions, and the other characters back story, the other characters view on the reality that the main character is creating. It's a serious test of my writing ability, and is presently in the works consuming most of my day, and some of my night.

This is my first blog post, and hope readers will leave positive, compelling reviews on Amazon.com as well as Goodreads.com, and anywhere else they blog. If you liked the stories, please share that satisfaction, but most of all, if you see a flaw, a weakness or an opportunity to do better, please contact me directly at adamstevensshouts@gmail.com. I will respond to all credible suggestions, as I make mistakes as a human.

And most importantly, if you relate to a specific character, or chapter, and wish to know more, let's discuss your feelings, and based on reader feedback, my future books will all embellish the interests of my readers that positively discuss who they likes, what they liked, and want more of.

Finally, I want to share that my own personal life is currently in a seriously life changing turmoil. I have a passion to achieve an amazing legacy to mankind (That is how I see it in my own mind), and am currently in a place I don't want to be, with every fiber of my being challenging me everyday. I have a general sense of what I need to do in order to continue the steps along my path. But first I feel I must endure this harsh reality, and overcome the burden. Once that miracle can be achieved, I want to first personally re-connect with the earth by developing a small piece of land into a sustainable permaculture, combined with providing a place for troubled gay teens to escape the harsh reality of bullying and depression that lead to suicide. I want to in a commercial sense, have an educational institute that can house run-away, homeless gay teens to get them off the streets. How this all plays out and is developed into practice, may also come from like-minded readers who want to create a dream come true for the future leaders of tomorrow. I just know that I can not do it alone, but I continue to develop the dream.
